How is this different from Snappy, Goody, or Sendoso?

Those platforms ship curated catalogues — your employee picks from a pre-chosen set. Giftella generates 16 gift ideas personalised to the specific recipient, then improves automatically as you mark gifts as hits or misses. The first gift is good. The tenth feels like it came from someone who's known the recipient for years.

What data does Giftella see about my employees?

Only what employees explicitly share. Each employee controls their own profile — interests, dietary restrictions, sizing, what they don't want. Admins see the fields employees opt to share. Gift ratings (loved/okay/miss) are private to Giftella, never shown to the admin. Data is deleted within 30 days of an employee leaving, and any employee can export or delete their profile at any time.

Who pays for the actual gifts?

The company does. You buy each gift wherever you want — Amazon, Etsy, or any retailer — with your own payment method — Giftella never marks up the gift price. The flat monthly subscription (starting at $49.99/mo) covers the software, AI recommendations, and recipient experience. Gift costs are paid to Amazon directly and are tied to actual usage.

How do gifts actually get delivered?

Through Amazon, Etsy, or any web retailer of your choice. For each AI gift suggestion you can pick where to buy it — Amazon for fast Prime delivery or Google Shopping for the long tail (boutique stores, Etsy, niche brands). Gifts ship directly from the retailer to the employee's address (home or office, employee chooses).

How long does setup take?

Most teams are live in under 2 hours. You invite employees by email or upload a roster; each employee builds a profile in 90 seconds. No IT integration needed for the pilot. HRIS sync (Rippling, Gusto, BambooHR) is available on Scale plans and above.

What's the pilot program?

We're onboarding the first 10 companies manually to iterate fast on real usage. Pilot companies get 50% off for the full first year, direct access to the founder for anything, and priority input into the roadmap. In exchange: one 30-min kickoff call and a 15-min bi-weekly check-in for the first quarter. Month-to-month, cancel anytime.

What if an employee doesn't want to participate?

Opting out is a single click per employee. They can also opt out of specific occasions (e.g., happy to celebrate anniversaries but private about birthday). Nobody is ever forced to share data or receive gifts they didn't ask for.

Can we test this with a smaller group first?

Yes. Many pilot companies start with a single department or the leadership team, then expand once it's proven valuable. The Starter plan supports up to 25 employees, so it's a natural place to test the waters.
